Subject: Looking for a palm pilot / handheld that we could make available to NPS studentColleagues,
We have a student who is experiencing a series of health related issues (had a severe accident in December), one of them being a difficulty to remember her schedule, deadlines and not being able to carry a heavy load in her arms.
If you have a spare palm pilot / handheld device that you could make available to this student for her use, that would be terrific. I spoke to her today and we concluded that having a device that is very light and that can help her track (and alarm) all events during the day would be great help while coping with her condition. Syncing with calendar application on laptop would be a huge plus. She is in her 4th quarter and most likely she will be experiencing these problems for the remainder of her degree.
Let me know if you think we could get one of those devices from NPS central services as I am not aware that such may exist. Nita and Larry, please let me know if some steps in this direction may have been taken by HSI colleagues (she is HSI student).
